Other Notable Information: Includes their worldwide Top 10 Hit "Have I The Right". One of the earlier pioneers of the British Invasion. Produced by the legendary and very popular Joe Meek, a radar technician turned recording engineer. He went freelance in the early 60's and built his own studio above a London shop. His recordings are quite remarkable for being made in a converted bathroom, toilet and living room, and they are CULT CLASSICS. They have great value for collectors who covet them just for being HIS recordings--his work inspired the legendary "RGM Appreciation Society". His last hurrah was the worldwide No. 1 hit by the Honeycombs "Have I The Right" in 1964. After that recording his hits stopped as technology passed him by and his makeshift studio became inadequate. Tragically, this introverted innovator murdered his landlady & then committed suicide on the 8th anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly. His music with the Tornados argubly predated synth - new wave pop by 20 years while his use of backward-played tape effects and domestic noises (like a flushing toilet) made him one of a kind.
A VERY HARD TO FIND AND VERY DESIRABLE COLLECTIBLE ALBUM, only $15.00 plus S & H.
