This is a very nice old cover sent from Capetown (Kaapstad) South Africa to the Sales Manager at International B.F. Goodrich Company of Akron, Ohio USA in 1949. As you can see from the scan, there are two clear circular postage due handstamps (one is 10 cents due, the other is 3 pence due), but no postage due stamp(s) affixed.
A very nice, clear circular datestamp cancel reads Cape Town Kaapstad 17.15 13 - I 1949.
The cover has been very neatly opened along the top and is in excellent condition with no damage of any significance other than the two ends of the back flap have become unsealed (without causing any damage). This is a great item for postage due collectors or old Goodrich / other tire & rubber company commercial covers.
$6.50 postpaid to a US address, or $8.00 postpaid to anywhere else.
