South Africa Registered Postal Stationery Cover Brakpan to Johannesburg 1937

This is a very nice registered South Africa postal stationery cover sent by registered mail from Brakpan, South Africa to Johannesburg, South Africa on 23 Oct 1937.

It's a piece of postal stationery intended for registered mail use (see the large blue "R" in the upper left corner and the "Registered Letter" imprint in the center) that's been additionally franked with a 1 d South Africa stamp on the front. The stamp is tied to the cover by the Brakpan circular datestamp cancellation. In addition to the cancellation the front bears three other postal markings--"7508 is written inside the handstamped Brakpan registered mail etiquette, "0281" is written to the left of the stamp and "Surface" is written on the right.

 The back side bears a 4 d blue South Africa imprinted Registration fee "stamp" and 3 more Brakpan cancellations.

Very neatly opened along the right side, the cover is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no damage of any note seen other than a couple of small, very light hinge marks on the back (they look darker in the scan than they are in real life).  A very nice find for collectors.
