A wonderfully illustrated commercial business advertising aerogramme (air letter sheet), sent from Hong Kong to Beaver Falls, Penn. USA in 1970.
A beautiful blue aerogramme, the front bears a Hong Kong 50 cent stamp with a Kowloon Hong Kong circular datestamp cancel dated 2 May 1970. But what makes this so special is the inside.
When opened the entire inside of the aerogramme is a pre-printed illustrated advertisement for M'Lords Fashions, Exclusive Ladies & Gents Tailors of Kowloon, Hong Kong. Apparently they were having a big sale and wanted their international customers to know the details such as available suits and price reductions for the same. The aerogramme also informs the reader that the company's sales representative will be at three different towns in Pennsylvania on specified dates between May 11th & May 17th to take orders.
Neatly opened, it is in overall EXCELLENT CONDITION for a fragile used aerogramme with no damage of any note seen except the inevitable irregular areas where it's been opened. This is a great item for collectors. Don’t miss out!
Just $7.00 postpaid to a US address, or $8.50 postpaid to anywhere else.
