This very nice Unused vintage linen postcard, in Near Mint condition, features a great view of the Annual Watermelon Feast held by the Lion's Club at the North Carolina Orthopedic Hospital in Gastonia, N.C., around 65-75 years ago.
Many nurses in white uniforms and nursing caps are on the left, kids sitting at tables eating slices of watermelon are in the center, other whole and sliced watermelons are waiting on and below the table at the right, and a lot of men wearing white (they might be sailors or they might be hospital workers) are just in front of the red-and-white striped awnings of the building.
