This is a hard to find vintage Artist-Signed Undivided Back pre-linen postcard, not mailed, from about 100 years ago.
This wonderful comic Valentine's Day postcard is signed by the artist Fred Opper (as F. Opper) in the lower right corner. Opper illustrated for Puck, Leslie's Magazine, and the New York Journal among other publications. He created the "Happy Hooligan" series of postcards and this one is a nice one! This very nice card features a very colorfully dressed hooligan or tramp running away from a policeman chasing him. The cop is holding is baton up in the air, looking like he will hit the tramp with it if he ever catches him!
