THIS IS AN ORIGINAL AUTHENTIC MUTOSCOPE CARD from the 1940's. Has a regular postcard back instead of a blank back like most arcade cards.
It features the prolific film actor Charles "Buddy" Rogers, who acted in movies from the mid-1920s silent movies through the 1950s. He was born in 1904 and died in 1999. As you can see from the image, he looks to be in his 30s or very early 40s when this card was made, and the card is from sometime in the 1940s.
Condition is Excellent, with minimal corner wear, no creases or handwriting.
Mutoscope cards were produced in the '40s and dispensed by vending machines for around two cents each. All Mutoscope cards carry the inscription 'A Mutoscope Card' on them somewhere. It is on the front AND the back side of this card. The lower right side of this card states that it is "Courtesy of Music Corporation of America." The format was used for other subjects in addition to film stars, such as cheesecake photos, cars, and sports.
Just $6.45 postpaid to a US address, or $8.00 postpaid to anywhere else.
